2001 Si formano i JUSTINEDUSK
Marzo 2002 Iniziano le sessioni di registrazione di ONE DAY... A MAY DAY presso il Red House Recordings Studio di Senigallia.
La produzione è affidata a David Lenci (Blonde Redhead, One Dimensional Man, June of '44, Will Holdham).
Autunno 2003 Esce il full-lenght ONE DAY...A MAY DAY per SoulCraft/Vacation House/Venus. Le atmosfere si muovono tra destrutturazioni tooliane e puro impatto hard-core. La stampa lo acclama come "...uno di quei dischi che riescono a dare un senso alla parola alternative in Italia" con "grandi melodie che rimangono impresse fin dal primo ascolto" e che porta i JUSTINEDUSK "...con i Linea 77" ad esser definiti "il miglior gruppo crossover tricolore nonchè una delle rivelazioni dell'odierna scena europea".Il brano "One day if you want" è presente sul sampler cd di Rocksound (vol. 68 - Dec. 2003- in compagnia di Korn,Will Heaven e Guilty Method), il noto magazine pubblica anche uno Zoom sulla band.
Inverno 2004 Il disco è distribuito in Europa, America e in Giappone."1d2", il primo singolo/video vanta una lunga permanenza nella classifica "made in italy" di Radio Rock fm.
I JUSTINEDUSK raggiungono la terza posizione. Seguono una serie di live nei club più importanti della penisola (e non solo) accanto a Dredg, Linea77, Addiction Crew, Browbeat, Guilty Method, Settlefish, Sun Eats Hours, Bambole di Pezza ecc. Partecipano con ottimi responsi di pubblico e critica ad importanti eventi: "Rock tv Night"," Data base", "Videofrequenze", "I Tim Tour" ecc.
Autunno 2004 Inizia il lavoro sui nuovi pezzi. L'incontro con il manager e collaboratore artistico Valerio F. e' molto importante ai fini della svolta stilistica che contraddistingue tutt'oggi l'impronta della band. I JUSTINEDUSK acquistano maggior chiarezza comunicativa e un approccio tecnico piu' sciolto,i brani guadagnano impatto. Cresce la qualità dei live, "...preparati, precisi ed emozionanti, con un suono che richiama Tool, A Perfect Circle o gli stessi Dredg".
Autunno 2005 La band ha terminato le registrazioni sotto la guida del produttore Alessandro "Ovi" Spotelli e dell'ex Raw Power Alessandro Paolucci al West Link Recording Studio di Cascina, PISA (Prozac+, Fluxus,GF93, Forty Winks, Baustelle).
Giugno 2006 Il disco in uscita è stato mixato ai Ballroom Recording Studio di Los Angeles (U.S.A.) con produttore MARK NEEDHAM, già sul banco di THE KILLERS, BLOC PARTY, CHRIS ISAAK, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, WE ARE SCIENTISTS, FLEETWOOD MAC
Autunno 2006 Il disco è stato masterizzato ai West West Side Music Studios di New York con Alan Douches (Thrice, Hole, Cave In, The Rapture).
Giugno 2007 Inizia la collaborazione con Alkemist Fanatix Management, naturale conseguenza del rapporto di stima reciproca tra il Manager Carlo Bellotti e la band.

CIAO ANDREA

Andrea è stato il bassista della band dal principio della nostra avventura fino a marzo del 2005, il suo contributo umano e artistico è stato fondamentale finchè una malattia subdola e ingiusta non lo ha costretto per due anni ad impegnarsi in una battaglia per il proprio diritto a vivere, diritto che sembrerebbe indiscutibile a trent'anni, con un sacco di cose ancora da fare, ma evidentemente non lo è.



Il tre ottobre Andrea ha perso questa battaglia lasciando tutte le persone che gli volevano bene, che gli vogliono bene, lasciandole attonite, sconvolte e tutto un mare di altri sentimenti che guardano al dolore. Non ci sono risposte ad una cosa del genere, quasi non ci sono domande, c'è solo un senso di impotenza, e poi la rabbia che è tanta, la mancanza di un qualcosa a cui appellarci, di un Dio da processare, o la mancanza di niente, del nulla, che però è nulla finchè non ti ammazza qualcuno. Oggi piangiamo per Andrea, con le lacrime, o con il cuore, o con lo stomaco. Oggi è un giorno di merda e un po' lo saranno tutti quelli a venire, in quei momenti più o meno lunghi nei quali vorremmo ripensare a lui, a ciò che è stato, a ciò che non ha avuto l'opportunità di essere, cercando di ricordarlo con immensa tristezza ma cercando di dedicargli ogni volta un seppur piccolo sorriso.

Biography

After one year spent in studio JUSTINE DUSK have completed the new album’s recording and mixing with producer Mark Needham (THE KILLERS, WE ARE SCIENTISTS, CHRIS ISAAK, VAUX).

JUSTINE DUSK formed in 2001.
During March 2002 , the band starts „ONE DAY…A MAY DAY“’s production with Red House recording studio of Senigallia.
Album’s production is committed to David Lenci (Blonde Redhead, One Dimensional Man, June of '44, Will Holdham).
In Autumn 2003 the band releases the full-lenght of ONE DAY….MAY DAY. The atmospheres „swing“ from atmospheric landscapes to a pure hard-core sound. The press acclaims it as “…. one of those records which succede in giving a meaning to the word “alternative” in Italy” with “great melodies which stay fixed in one’s memory since from the first listening “and which makes the JUSTINEDUSK “..along with LINEA 77” . “the best crossover band in Italy as well as the newest revelation of today’s european scene”. The track “ One day if you want” appears on Rocksound’s cd sampler (vol. 68 - Dec. 2003- along with Korn,Will Heaven e Guilty Method). The famous magazine releases a Zoom on the band.In Winter 2004, the Album is distributed in Europe, America and in Japan. „1d2 “ , the first single/video boasts a long permanence at “Rock FM“’s “made in Italy” session , reaching the third position.
Many Live performances follow one another and take place in the most important clubs of the Italian peninsula along with Dredg,Linea 77,Addiction Crew,Browbeat,Gulty Method,Settlefish,Sun Eats Hours,Bambole di pezza ect.
The band takes part to important events such as: „Rock Tv Night“,“Data Base“,“Videofrequenze“,“I Tim Tour“ etc. , gaining an excellent result among the public. In Autumn 2004 the JUSTINEDUSK begin to work on the new tracks.
The meeting with the manager and artistic cooperator Valerio F. (NoOne Management) is very important for their stylistic’s turning which has marked the band.
With the time the JUSTINEDUSK get a deeper communication’s clarity and an easier technical’s approach.
The quality of the live performances improves , „…ready, accurate and exciting, bearing a sound which reminds you the TOOL, A Perfect Circle or the Dredg.
In autumn 2005 the band guided by the producer Alessandro „Ovi“ Spotelli and by the ex-member of the Raw Power Alessandro Paolucci ,accomplishes the registrations at the West Link Recording Studio of Cascina , Pisa (Prozac+, Fluxus,GF93, Forty Winks, Baustelle). After this the band worked on a sonorization for a big art-exibition.
The new album has been mixed at the Ballroom recording Studio of L.A. (U.S.A.). The producer of the Album is MARK NEEDHAM, known for „THE KILLERS“, „WE ARE SCIENTISTS“,“CHRIS ISAAK“, “BLOC PARTY“,“MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE".
The album has been mastered at West West Side Studios of New York by Alan Douches (Hole, Alkaline Trio, Cave In).
